The Stradus PACS solution has an inbuilt RIS functionality that enables you to not only view the images but also to do reporting from inside and outside your facility. The RIS functionality supports various workflows that can be configured upon request.
The Stradus Hybrid PACS can be configured to support centralized CD/DVD burning. The centralized CD/DVD burner will be fully controlled by the PACS system, to allow automatic CD/DVD burning from the PACS directly by authorized users.
The Stradus Hybrid PACS allows to import DICOM data from External CDs by authorized users. The data will automatically be connected to an existing or newly created patient.
The Stradus PACS solution can be configured to automatically assign a new study to a radiologist based on assignment rules chosen by you. Radiology departments always have their own preferences.
Most simple assignment rule is that all new acquired studies come in one queue and the radiologist can pick a new study as soon as he is finished reporting with the previous study. More advanced assignment rules can also easily be set up. Once a new study is assigned to a radiologist, the PACS system can be configured such that the assigned radiologist will receive a message that a new study has been added to his workload. Below are given to examples of assignment rules that can be set.
For example all new acquired CT images always go to radiologist A, while all other modalities are being equally assigned to the radiologists available.
For example all acquired studies between 3 PM and 9 PM are assigned to radiologist C and between 9 PM and 8 AM all acquired studies are assigned to radiologist B.
For example emergency cases can automatically be assigned to an emergency queue so that the radiologists can easily see which cases are most urgent.
The Stradus PACS system can be configured to have a multi-step sign-off procedure to support the use of specific users like residents. The resident will be assigned studies which the resident will report by himself. After the resident signs off the study, the study will be assigned to the supervisor. The supervisor can edit the report if needed before he signs off. Only after the supervisor has signed off the report, the report becomes available. Supervisors can even approve reports while accessing Stradus from outside the hospital.
Whenever a radiologist is reporting a case that he thinks is of interest for future teaching he can add it to his teaching file. Cases can be added to folder to be stored in special teaching file folders. The radiologist can easily save the cases based on for instance modality, procedure, pathology etc.
Modern hospitals want IT solutions that support their workflows. The radiology department is only functioning well when the PACS system, integrated with the HIS, supports all the workflows. Therefore, a deep integration of the PACS with the HIS supporting all workflows, is of utmost importance. This will help your hospital to offer the best quality of care to your patients.
The Stradus PACS is fully HL7 compliant and can be integrated with most Hospital Information Systems. Integration of the Stradus Hybrid PACS with your HIS comes at a custom price. For more information, please contact us or ask your local reseller.
The HIS driven workflow will support orders given in the HIS to be automatically transferred to the Stradus Modality WorkList (MWL). This ensures smooth operations and reduces errors by retyping name, patient ID etc. After the patient is registered in the HIS, the patient is scheduled in the HIS and the requested procedure information (including name and patient ID) is automatically transferred to the Stradus Modality WorkList (MWL).
The Stradus PACS solution has an inbuilt RIS functionality that enables you to not only view the images but also to do reporting in the same place. Radiologist can see the lists of cases needing reporting directly in Stradus PACS. They can then directly do the reporting in Stradus PACS. They do not need to access the HIS for doing their reporting. Once the report has been signed off, the report is automatically made available in the HIS.
From the patient file in the HIS, the user can directly click to open the patient images without the need for a second login on the PACS. Referring physicians and doctors in other hospital departments will benefit greatly as they will have access to the images of the patient via the HIS, without the need to login to the PACS.
